It was for a period of history , The North Africa as the historical region of Christian’s theology inspired the western civilization. Today; no open religious diversity, no Christians in the area.

Contrary to popular belief, many believe that history has originated in North Africa with the presence of Islam and Arabs. In fact, the region inhabited by the Amazighs from the beginning has witnessed the existence of many cultures that succeeded in successive colonial presence, starting from the Phoenicians, Vandals and Germans, to the Romans and Byzantines, where the Christian movements in the region flourished. Donatism was the famous one.

The history of Christianity witnessed the rise of Amazighs to positions of responsibility within the church, occupying advanced positions within the hierarchy of patron of this religion that prevailed in North Africa centuries ago.

Among many others like, Tertullian, Donatus Manius, Saint Alipius . Saint Augustine is the most famous in the history of the Western Church: Saint Augustine; the man who would imprint Christianity, philosophy and religious thought in the world, in an unprecedented way.

Saint Augustine was born in Souk Ahras, to a Amazigh mother, who is the son of Saint Monica. Many Protestants see him as one of the theological sources for the teachings of the Protestant Reformation, while some Orthodox, such as the Copts, and recognize him as a saint. He is considered the first bishop of Annaba (east of Algiers) , and he remained in office for three decades.

Like other countries of Middle East, the North African was invaded by the Islamic troops after eight successive military campaigns. It took the Muslim leaders seventy years to control and impose Islam on the entire region that now includes Algeria, Tunisia, and Morocco. Queen Dehia's resistance against Muslim Arabs was the battle that confused the Islamic forces, especially after she eliminated the Arab Muslim leader , Hassan Ibn Al-Nu`man .

The eight Arab Islamic invasions of Tamazgha. It took place during the reign of six caliphs, Othman bin Affan, and five of the caliphs of Banu Umayya (Muawiya bin Abi Sufyan, Yazid bin Mu’awiyah, Abd al-Malik bin Marwan, Al-Walid bin Abd al-Malik, Suleiman bin Abd al-Malik), and it follows eight princes of the army, named after Usually invasions by their names, they are (Abdullah bin Abi Sarh 27 hijri , Muawiya bin Hadij 45 hijri , Uqba bin Nafeh over two periods 50 and 62 hijri , Abu al-Muhajir dinars, 55 hijri , Zuhair bin Qais al-Balawi 69 hijri , Hassan bin Nu'man 74 hijri , Musa bin Nusayr 85 hijri.

Wealth, and other treasures in the region were the main catalyst for the continued attempts by Muslim military leaders to impose control. Islam was merely a pretext and propaganda ideology, later designed as the official history of the power of the Islamic Empire.

Today, a large part of history serves religious texts, so instead of naming the Islamic invasion of North Africa using the exact term, it is described as conquest when we come to mention Islam.

In the same way, Islamic governments designed their identity in favor of their Islamic and Arab ideology at the expense of the indigenous peoples and the cultural diversity that arose in the region.

With a lack of education and the elimination of cultural and religious diversity, the religious and ideological path continues to receive state coverage and sponsorship. This is what creates more of the identity crisis between peoples, and this is what we have been seeing for decades among Amazighs in North Africa.
